A closer look at what’s inside.
Collector, breaker, and the person behind We Should Rip.

Hey, I’m Jake.
I’m a collector, and I host breaks. Here, I’m putting the checklists, tools, stories, and conversations together in one place.
Look around, find something you’re curious about, and come talk cards with us.

Where it started.
My first card memory goes back to being seven years old, at my first Mariners game during that magical—and, ultimately, tragic—2001 season.
My dad bought me a pack at the Seattle Mariners Kids team store. Inside was an Ichiro rookie card.
The card pictured here is that exact card. I still have it.
Since then, I’ve always collected, bought, sold, and traded. The cards have changed, but opening a pack still gets me.
My collection looks like me.
You’ll find plenty of Mariners, James Wood, and Shohei Ohtani. You’ll also find Elsa for my two daughters, The Simpsons, Toy Story, and whatever else feels like it belongs.
My personal collection doesn’t follow one neat theme. It’s a collection of things that mean something to me.
My current obsession is my “Living” Allen & Ginter set. Come check it out in the Discord—I’m always happy to talk about it.
Away from the cards.
When I’m not playing with trading cards, I’m probably working toward my lifelong goal of becoming a scratch golfer. At the time of writing, I’m a 1.3 index. Close enough to keep chasing.
Otherwise, you’ll find me listening to music or spending time with my best friend and high school sweetheart, Alexsis.
